Welcome to AbleSafety.org!

I’m Suzanne, and I’m following in my mother’s footsteps to become a physical therapist. Growing up, I watched my mom work with patients of all backgrounds: individuals who were born with physical limitations and wanted to become stronger; people who suffered a trauma and were working to rebuild strength they’d lost, or figuring out a new way of life after losing some of their physical abilities permanently; and senior citizens whose abilities had changed with age.

This site started as an extra credit term project, but I’ve decided to keep it going as a passion project. I’m honestly not 100% sure what all I’ll do with it yet, but at the very least, I’d like to…

  • Write pieces other site developers with disability safety websites can share with their readers
  • Share links to other great websites with my peers and like-minded advocates
  • Write blog posts that address common questions and concerns of indviduals with disabilities
  • Empower and inspire people to live life on their terms no matter their abilities!
